What is the IMEI?
It's the unique 15-digit number that identifies every phone. Dial *#06# or find it in your phone's settings.
Can I tell if an iPhone is stolen?
Yes. IMEIX checks the global GSMA blacklist, which Rogers, Bell and Telus report lost and stolen phones to, and warns you if the device is on it.
What is iCloud lock?
If the previous owner doesn't sign out of iCloud, the iPhone is useless to you. We check Find My iPhone status.
Does it work with Android?
Yes, we check the blacklist on any brand. The report is most complete on iPhone, where we also see iCloud and carrier.
Do you store my IMEI?
Not in plain text. We keep a hashed fingerprint and the last few digits — just enough to show you your history. The fingerprint can't be reversed.
